3 months already!

We all cannot get enough of our precious little Kensley! She is such a joy to have around and I cannot believe it's been 3 months already! She is talking up a storm (cooing, gurgling, etc.), and is very good at sucking her thumb (much to her daddy's dismay). Maddox thanks me almost daily for giving him a baby sister since he's "always wanted one" and thinks "she is the most beautiful girl in the world"! Parker loves to hold her hand and say "Hi baby" all the time, and when she is taking a nap, he tells me he "misses him"(doesn't quite grasp the correct gender terminology yet)! What fun to have another girl in the family!!!

Dinosaur museum

Maddox has been bugging us about going back to the dinorsaur museum in Thanksgiving Point for months! Since the last time we went (over a year ago!), he has wanted to take daddy there to see the dinosaurs. He wasn't as nervous as he was last time, and of course, Parker wasn't afraid at all---even of the shark! They had fun playing in the mud (mom couldn't watch as it got all over their clothes, etc.), and digging for fossils in the sand. As you can see in the pictures, Kensley wasn't too impressed. A fun day with the family if you haven't been before!

New Years 2009

Gone are the days of partying hard and hangovers the next morning after a New Years Celebration! New Years now is pretty mild compared to when I used to live in Vegas, or even when we were in Portland. We now get together with family and enjoy appetizers, a few drinks, and each others company. We used to play games, but now with the kids, we don't get to actually sit down and be able to play anymore---maybe in a couple of years. Instead, the gals get to chat while the guys play pool and/or poker. The best part is having the kids stay up until midnight to celebrate with us! It's amazing how much energy they have---and their enthusiasm grows the closer it get's to 12:00 (last year they all actually stayed up until 3:00 a.m.!). This year we went to my sister's house in Herriman. My dad and step-mom were there as well as my 2 brothers and their girlfriends. The boys loved toasting each others glasses with their sparkling cider saying "Cheers!" and shouting "Happy New Year!". Once the 12:00 hour arrived, the adults somehow found comfort in the couch, while the boys were still running around like wild animals! Whew...when did I get so old?!?!
