Is Spring Here Yet?!?!

Here are just a few activities that we've been doing to try and stay busy during the L-O-N-G winter. Though we haven't got much snow, it has been very cold, plus with the inversion, we haven't been able to get outside much.
We took the boys to the Jazz game and they had a blast!

This is how Parker looks when you tell him to keep his eyes open for pictures!

Mommy's been practicing different hairstyles on Kensley---very difficult when she won't hold still!

New Years at the Cabin

Despite some colds, and broken snowmobile, we all managed to have a great week at our cabin for New Years! What great weather we had...was actually warmer than the valley due to the inversion---beautiful white snow with the contrast of the blue skies! The cousins had a blast riding snow mobiles, sledding, playing wii games, watching movies, playing basketball/pool/ping pong, etc. It was a nice time for us adults to R E L A X...especially needed after the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Let's just say I finally feel caught up on all the Hollywood gossip thanks to People magazine! Happy 2010----Looking forward to what the new year brings!

Christmas Activities

What a busy month! Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas day. We went to Christmas Eve service at church, and then to Nana/Papa's for her traditional german meal of Rouladin (sp?)---yummy! We all opened presents from each other which was fun, and then headed home before Santa came! He didn't disappoint...the boys proved to Larry (our personal elf), that they should be put on the 'good list' (though mom questioned the decision :) ). Maddox got a lot of Star Wars Lego sets, and Parker got a talking dump truck, monster truck, tow truck...you get the picture. They also got a big train table/set from santa. Kensley got some new baby dolls---though she is much more interested in playing with the transformers, cars (a tomboy in the making)! Scott and I both got a Margarita Maker from Santa...he always knows the perfect gift to get us (we definitely put it to good use by Christmas night!).

All Aboard the Polar Express

We made sure we got to the train early this year so that we actually got a seat this year. Always a fun time with hot chocolate, singing Christmas carols, reading the 'Polar Express' and of course, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. It was especially exciting this year since the train broke down in the middle of the tour---ran out of oil. Nevertheless, we made it to the North Pole and back (albeit a little late). We were all full of Christmas spirit since we were all given bells, and we could all hear them ring :)!

PJ Party, Visit from Grandparents

Yes, I actually got Scott to wear the polar bear pajamas!!! We had our annual PJ Party at the Tedesco's this year. Good appetizers, Hot buttered Rum, and watched Christmas movies (we saved the driving around looking at lights until later so that Scott didn't have to leave the house in his pajama's).

Grandma/Grandpa K came up for a visit right before Christmas from Las Vegas. Angie made a great (early) Christmas dinner, and the cousins were able to open up some early gifts (always a new pair of pajama's is included).
