Back To School!

It was bitter sweet to go back to school. Granted, it seemed to be a loooong summer---especially the last week or so, but it was sad seeing my kids grow up! Maddox is starting first grade (AND riding the bus for the first time!), and Parker started preschool. Kensley too, is starting a Mothers Morning Out program on Fridays which allows me some much needed time for myself! Maddox is loving first grade, and Parker is starting to like preschool (though he still proceeds to kick and scream with every drop-off!). We are starting to adjust to Maddox being gone all day, though I can tell that Parker misses his brother terribly!! At least he has his little sister to tease...constantly!! I just don't know what I'm going to do once they all are in school all day?!?!

getting on the bus for the first time---tear :(
Busy bus stop---he was embarrassed I kept taking pictures!
Kensley loves her big brothers!
starting 1st grade!
ready for preschool!

Birthday barbecue

Hard to believe I am another year older!! Getting closer to "40" every day!! At least I'm not the only one who turned 37---I am lucky to share the day with my twin sister, Angie!!! We celebrated by going over to my dad/step-mom's house for a barbecue. Who would have thought that of course we happened to have a torrential down pour of rain as well! We still had a great time, and it even managed to clear up enough for the boys (yes, even the big boys and dads) to ride around on bikes and scooters. What a fun night getting together with family!!

10 year anniversary!!

Wow, time sure does fly! I can hardly believe that we just celebrated our 10th anniversary!! We celebrated by heading up to Park City to stay at the canyons. It was so nice to get away, just the two of us! We were able to relax and do some shopping (my idea of course), and then enjoy the free concert later in the evening. It's so nice to sit on the grass, enjoy some great wine, and even do some dancing----all without having to yell at any little kids to "Stay Here!", "Don't put that in your mouth!", "Watch where you're going!", "Quit teasing your sister!", "We'll leave when I'm ready!", etc., etc.

Happy Anniversary to the best husband, dad, fix-it man, recreational director, vacation planner...and much more! I love you!!!
