The Happiest Place on Earth (?????)

We decided that this is the year we would go to Disneyland----we hadn't taken the kids before, an I haven't been in years!! We drove the LONG drive so that we could visit G-ma/G-pa in Las Vegas. We went over UEA weekend, and so did half of Utah!! We talked to someone from California, and they said that they all joke that UEA stands for "Utahns Entering Anaheim". October is a great time to go---hardly any wait time on the most popular rides. Even Kensley was able to go on a lot of the rides and LOVED it! She would wave to the scary pirates in the pirate ride while the boys would cover their ears and eyes, and was all smiles even on the Roller Coaster rides! All in all, we had a fun time despite the melt downs and the Oregon-like weather (chilly, cloudy, rainy). Next time (in 3 or 4 years according to Scott), we will fly instead of driving which will help!!!

Vegas Baby

Kens reminds me of a "Charlies Angel" in this picture :)

Over UEA weekend we headed to Vegas/California. We were able to run into my sister and her family who happened to be in Vegas for a BMX competition and had fun seeing the sights on the Strip. We also were able to have a short visit with Grandma/Grandpa "K". We had a mini-birthday party for Kens, and the boys helped Grandpa with some of his medical procedures.

cute cousins with matching shorts :)

Okay, this guy was seriously creepy! He was mumbling stuff under his breath as we took this picture

Silly Kens!

I just had to post this picture of Kensley. She just LOVES to dance---she'll break down in some fancy dance moves whenever the mood strikes her (lots of hip swinging, sticking her bottom out...where she learned that I don't know!). This picture was when we went to Incredible Pizza for DJ's birthday. She had a great time playing this dancing game :)!! You never know, she could be a Jazz Dancer before long!!

FOOTBALL

We had so much fun this year having Maddox play football. It was extra special to have both his dad and Jacksons dad coach. They had such a great time learning all kinds of special plays to "trick" the opponent! It was so much fun to watch, especially since Football is my favorite sport! Kensley loved to cheer from the sidelines (next year I'll try her in a cheerleading costume :)), and Parker...well, he just goofed off with Bowen (Justin's other son). Justin and Scott made quite an impression on many parents, and we already have a team signed up under them for basketball next month :)!

Kensley, you're supposed to be cheering, not snacking!!
GO UTES!! Parker and Bowen---partners in crime!

CORNBELLIES

Here we are at Cornbellies again. It's been a fun family tradition going here every year. What great weather we had at the beginning of October, so we went early to take advantage. Kensley's favorite part was the huge slide that she went down over and over, and the singing chickens. Maddox loved to do the pumpkin cannon, while Parker liked the corn maze---NOT the huge "lizard" haunted house, that they have yet made it through all the way!! A great way to enjoy the Fall!
