We went to Moab, UT for a family vacation to celebrate Maddox graduating from preschool, and the start of Summer. I've never been to Moab, or Arches National Park so was excited about discovering a new part of Utah. The boys had a great time hiking around Goblin Valley---it was amazing to see the rock formations. We also actually hiked the 3 mile trek to see the Delicate Arch in Arches. Scott had heard it was "easy", but later came to find out after reading the map that it was actually labeled "strenuous". You can say that again when having to back pack or hold Kensley and Parker up a face of a mountain! We took lots of breaks, and had lots of encouragement from all the other hikers, and actually made it to the spectacular arch. Unfortunately for us, once we got to the arch, there was a horrible sand/wind storm. The boys both were crying, and Kensley was having a hard time even catching her breath, so we were only able to view it for a minute or so!!

Scott reserved a great condo for us in Moab which was right across from the swimming pool/hot tub. We enjoyed some great restaurants in town, and just got to relax with the whole family together. If you haven't been to Moab before, I would highly recommend it! I can't wait until the kids are a little older so that we can do some mountain biking, jeep 4x4 tours, and some white water rafting!

Even the threat of swine flu could not keep us away!! Our destination...Puerto Vallarta on a girls trip to celebrate Gingers birthday! What a great time we had lounging by the pool, and eating at fancy restaurants every night---Heaven! We even flew first class! What a great Mothers Day---I felt so spoiled!!

Parker (AKA Lightning McQueen) turns 3!

We celebrated Parker's 3rd birthday at Jungle Jim's (with a Lightning McQueen theme of course). He had so much fun with his first "big boy" birthday party with friends, cousins, and grandparents. He had been counting down the days until his "birfday" for weeks...months even! What a fun place to go to ride on rides, merry go rounds, and drive---or I should say sit----in the go-carts. I still can't believe he is three! It seems like he should still be crawling around, and eating baby food. Time has flown by..he still remains the most sweetest little boy any mom could ask for! Happy 3rd Birthday Parker...now we get to start trying the potty training!

Easter 2009

Luckily, the weather was nice when we woke up Easter Morning! The Easter Bunny surprised us this year with a fun scavenger hunt for the boys to find their baskets! They had fun collecting all the eggs outside---there is still one missing though. I'm sure we'll smell it soon! A busy time with school egg parades, egg hunts, egg coloring, egg finding, and lastly, egg eating! Happy Easter!!

Las Vegas Get-away

We got out of the snow and winter like weather we'd been having here in Utah and headed to Las Vegas last weekend. My mom and step-dad just moved back there from St. George, so we got to see there new house. We stayed at a new hotel, The Aliante, which is right by them. My sisters family also went down, so we were able to spend some time with them as well. The weather was gorgeous! We were able to relax by the pool and have some margarita's (pretending we were still in Mexico:)). The boys had such a great time splashing around, and Kensley is already like one of the girls, and layed by the pool on a covered couch all day! Scott and I were also able to go see our two favorite singers in concert, Jeremy Camp and Mercy Me, which was so much fun! It was hard to leave summer and come back to winter though. I'm hoping that Spring is just around the corner!

Kensley's Ear's Pierced

I always told myself that when/if I ever had a little girl, I would get her ears pierced when she was a baby. Partly because I had to wait until I was ten, but also because I always thought it was so adorable when I would see little babies with earrings. Well, when she turned 5 months, I thought, what better time?! So I dragged, literally, Scott and the boys with me to the mall to get them done. Scott didn't understand why I was so obsessed and determined to get them done (in hindsight, I should have gone without him, but then who would have taken the pictures??), and the boys were there because I bribed them with a merry-go-round ride. Well, she screamed, obviously, like I've never heard her scream before! I thought Scott was either going to throw-up or pass out! I immediately regretted my decision...initially. But after a few minutes (okay, more like 30 minutes), she forgot what had happened! And, she looks so girly with her diamond studs and matching bracelet! Girls are so much fun!!!

What fun is having a girl if you can't show her off some?! It's been an exciting month with the beginning of Spring (which of course includes a whole new wardrobe :) ), and getting her ears pierced! She's been talking (shrieking) up a storm, and LOVES eating her rice cereal, baths, and most of all, her brothers!!
