Ski Lessons are 'Snow' Fun!!

We did a lot of this (relaxing!) while the boys did their ski lessons!!

The boys just finished their 5 lesson pass at the Canyons. They both progressed so well during the season! Maddox is now skiing on blue runs---which is where I prefer to ski. And Parker finally is skiing on the green runs and doing great!! We are looking forward to going up again in a few weeks and ski with them some more to see the progress they have made. I wish I had started skiing at this age...instead of 21!!!

Kensleys 'big girl bed'

Kens getting her groove on since she is so proud she is finally a "BIG girl" to sleep in a 'big girl bed'!

So we made the transition from crib to toddler bed. She has done soooo good!! Will not come out of her room at all! She does though L-O-V-E to play with her stuffed animals and books and will get them out of closets, baskets, etc. and proceed to place them in her bed with her. My question is, how does she have room to sleep? And, that can't be comfortable can it?!?!

Maddox Turns 7!!!

It's hard to believe that my 1st "baby" is now 7!! Where did the time go?!?!? I still remember bringing him home from the hospital in Portland like it was yesterday!! Now I am so proud of the boy he has become: my lego obsessed, sport loving, xbox playing, big brother loving, 1st grader!!!

What a great birthday he had at Incredible Pizza. The party host did such a great job!! Found out later, that she is actually a manager and trains all the other hosts. She had the boys do limbo, slurpee contest, cinnamon roll eating contest, musical chairs, dance competition...and then, birthday presents and cake. That was all before having them go out and play laser tag, video games, minature golf, etc. Whew!! Mom and dad were worn out by the time the party was over!! FUN TIMES for all this kids!!!

Let's get down and LIMBO!! So funny to watch!!

Vegas Get-away

"But I don't want to go back home!"

It was just a 'last minute trip', but we decided to head to Vegas for the weekend! Our main goal was to spend some time with Grandma/Grandpa "K", but unfortunately Parker was sick and didn't want to expose him to Grandpa as he is going through Radiation treatment. So, we made the best of it, and enjoyed some family time at the park, pool, and arcade. We even braved taking Kensley to her first 'real' movie (Tangled...sooo cute!), and she did excellent! We put the kids in "Kids Quest" one night to enjoy an 'adult dinner', but actually went to pick the kids up early and got some ice cream :)! Since we were in Vegas, why not do a little betting on the football playoff games as well (both Scott and I missed our parlay by 1 point!! Thanks Jets!!). Good times, and looking forward to April when we are taking the whole Vincent Team Staff with us!!

Game On!

We've started a 'game night' that we try and do as a family one night per week (a 'family home evening night' if you will). The first game to play, Jenga! Parker is so much like me in that he absolutely hates the stress of the possibility of the Jenga tower falling! He can't even watch (as seen in the picture above). Also was fun just playing with my new camera! Still haven't quite figured out all the components, etc. but having fun playing with it!
Mr. Intense just like his daddy!
Ahhh! Stress...I can't even watch!

My Little Kensley

Kensley likes getting her picture taken almost as much as I like taking pictures (especially with my new camera I got for Christmas...thanks honey!). She loves to pose, and then has to run and see herself in the play back. Thankfully someone in the family enjoys getting their picture taken...with the boys I now have to bribe them with a special treat just to get a (fake) smile out of them! She is truly such a blessing to me! There is not a day that goes by that I don't laugh about something that she does or says, and when she says "I love you toooooo" when I put her to bed at night, it just melts my heart! I love my boys too, but lately they just want to go wrestle with each other, and play 'star wars' with daddy...so I am enjoying having my little girl to sit on my lap and brush barbies hair :)!

Cabin Fever

Kens not happy to come in

A few weeks ago we headed up to our cabin to relax and play in the snow. Though I wasn't able to do anything fun because I'm still healing from my surgery, I was able to read, hang out, and of course, take lots of pictures. The kids tried out snow shoeing for the first time---a little hard for just one adult to help. The boys also tried out the new sleds, and had fun riding around on snow mobiles and the Ranger. We even some a family of moose right above the cabin! Always nice to get away---let us know when you want to join us :)!
